PRODUCT BIO: Musa Acuminata Aka Banana trees are fast-growing evergreen perennials. These plants grow around 360 – 600 cm tall and 180 – 300 cm wide. Their foliage is huge paddle-shaped leaves that itself has a length of 180 – 300 cm. And has erect spikes of flowers with colours from cream to yellow. Adorned by bracts, followed by edible yellow bananas. Apart from being a known producer of edible fruits and vegetables, Banana trees (Musa Acuminata) will give a standout look in your Mediterranean garden.
Water: Water them moderately after checking the top soil. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. The soil on which they are supposed to be planted must be well-drained, humus rich. During summer, water thoroughly. while in winter season or rainy season gradually reduce the water or when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Water in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. Always check your soil before watering.
Nutrients/Fertilizer: In terms of feeding, use any organic fertilizers. Apply them once a month especially during the growing season.
Light: They perform well when kept in presence of full sunlight or even in partial shade. To ensure their healthy growth ideally try to manage temperature somewhere around 10 to 27 degree Celsius.
